- Identify the performance requirements of subordinates within the following
constraints:
Developmental level of professional status
of subject,
Requirements of appropriate
legislation,
Appropriate policies, strategic plans and
human resource development philosophy of
the organization, and
Previous recorded interactions with the
subject on his / her performance and any
previous agreements reached.
- To be able to discuss performance expectations with individual subordinates with the purpose of reaching agreement on realistic, attainable, yet developmental objectives.
- To be able to gain the individual's commitment to achieve the agreed performance objectives.
- Understand that successful performance discussions will help in attaining own organizational goals.
- Understand and be able to track performance against agreed performance expectations.
- Be able to provide remedial and constructive feedback to subordinate.
- Be able to conduct informal and formal periodic performance reviews with the intention of reaching further agreement on development performance objectives.

programme is designed as a two-day session, but can be adjusted to
suit specific needs.

The participant centred workshop format uses interactive and experiential activities, including role plays, case studies, group discussions and lecturettes. The activities are designed to ensure both individual and group participation.

For maximum effectiveness and interaction, the group size must be limited to not more than
fourteen delegates.
