Participants will develop a personal understanding of diversity issues and will learn critical skills required to effectively manage and motivate a diverse workforce.

- To develop an appreciation for own heritage and that of others from diverse backgrounds.
- To learn how the workforce is becoming increasingly diverse.
- To understand and recognize the difference between prejudice, stereotyping, and discrimination in the workplace.
- To determine and utililise management practices that ensure respect for and fair treatment of all employees.
- To develop strategies to manage a diverse workforce that maximize the contribution of all employees.

The programme is designed for Managers and Supervisors in organizations of any size and any racial or ethnic mix.

One day. The programme may however be adjusted to suit the client's need.

The participant centred workshop format uses interactive and experiential activities, including role plays, case studies, group discussions and
lecturettes. The activities are designed to ensure both individual and group participation.
|
|
|
The manager / supervisor must sensitise the course
delegate(s) regarding the reasons for attending the programme, discuss the programme's learning objectives and clearly state expectations with regards to practical, on-the-job, implementation.
|
|
|
For maximum effectiveness and interaction, the group size must be limited to no more than sixteen participants.
